Berghol the Bodacious was an orc blacksmith that could be found in the wastelands of the Foot of Barga Gor in SpellForce 3.
Background information[]
When Corporal Tahar wandered through the wastelands of the Foot of Barga Gor, he met with Berghol at his forge. The blacksmith would tell the Corporal that he had been preparing for a final masterpiece, that was only requiring one more ingredient: The horn of a Bone Gnawer.
After some search the demon was found in the west of the area and its horns were pulled out by Corporal Tahar after a tough fight and then brought to the smithy.
Berghol would thank the Corporal for having supplied him the necessary materials. He would also offer his services in return and thus could be recruited as a possible trader for the Corporal's base in Mulandir.
“ | Just give me some coin for material and send them my way, then I teeach them how a true orcish axe or armor should look like | ” |
— Berghol about improving the Firewielders' army

Trivia[]
- Berghol is mentioned on multiple occasions in different kinds of weapons, e.g. in Winter's Greatsword he is mentioned as the creator of the weapon.
- The orc seems to be extremely passionate about the art of blacksmithing. While others treat is as a means for getting hands on new weapons or armors, Berghol is slightly different. Each creation in his forge seems to be a unique piece of art for him.
“ | Tender Love and Care. Without TLC my blades would have been no better than the wares of these talentless trolls | ” |
— The passion is shown to Corporal Tahar
|
- His character is extremely arrogant towards others and he seems to be quite hyperactive as he would talk all the time without giving others even a chance to talk. He does not seem to think much of it, since he considers himself extremely "generous" for even talking to lower specimens.
“ | Most orcish smiths are blasted idiots with no imagination... they can barely sharpen an axe. You see, any third rate moron can form a chunk of steel that resembles a weapon. But if your goal is to actually hurt something that is not your own arm, I would not recommend trading with these credits... absolutely not | ” |
