Commander Elysande was the leader of the Queensguard in SpellForce 3.
Story[]
As a part of the Queensguard Elysande was responsible for guarding the Nortander queen, Queen Ayelith. She was still weakened from her fight with Isamo Tahar's dragon during the Mage Wars and thus her body needed to be protected from any harm.
The safety of their queen was top priority and even when the Purity took over Greyfell and forced Angar Arandir and the royal army to retreat, the Queensguard stood their ground. However to avoid a conflict with the whole people of Nortander, Lacaine left the Queensguard and Queen Ayelith unharmed since killing the queen would've made her a martyr.
When the Corporal had started to besiege Greyfell he went to the Queen's Chamber and was informed by Elysande that Lacaine had locked himself up within the Halls of Justice to prepare the Opening of the Gates. The Corporal went to break the seal on the entrance and defeated Lacaine.
Shortly after Lacaine was defeated, Queen Ayelith awoke. What came after is not clearly stated but within the epilogue of SpellForce 3, Queen Ayelith announced that she would leave the the mages an organization of their own to be able to present their needs and wishes to the court, the Circle.
