Lord Commander Tynar was the leader of house Utran in SpellForce: The Order of Dawn.
Story[]
When the rune warrior came through the portal from Leafshade together with Sergeant Einar, Tynar had been in a toxin-induced coma for days. This was caused by a traitor who had poisoned the leader of the house of Utran with a potent poison called the Black Kiss in order to steal the crimson banner as well as the wife of Tynar, Shaira.
Reclaiming the Shiel[]
When the rune warrior helped Tynar to regain consciousness by getting help from Shan Muir in Liannon, he and the rune armies retook the fortress of house Utran.

Ultimately they were able to destroy the forces of the Black Fist with the help of the dryads to the east of the Shiel.
Going after the traitor[]
Later on the rune warrior was asked by Tynar to search for clues about his wife and the stolen banner. Some chain, that supposedly had been worn by Shaira, could be found at the orc commander Com to the north of the Shiel. Since Shaira would've never separated from it, Tynar believed her dead.

The banner, the insignia of house Utran, could be found at Halgard Arvig at the Wildland Pass. The traitor had joined Brannigan's forces and after having been killed by the rune warrior and her armies, the banner returned back to house Utran.
