Qirr was an orc exile who could be found in Everlight in SpellForce 3.

He was investigating the death of many orcs within the city and was helped by Corporal Tahar to deal with the matter. Qirr could join the Corporal in his base in Mulandir as a supporter for the orc army.

Background information[]

As the firstborn son of the Dustcrawlers' high-chieftain Gnaras, Qirr first was destined to become a person of great importance within his Cal. However when his brother Rrak was found to be gifted with magic, he was taken to become a shaman. Qirr was worried since his brother needed to pass a trial of Zarach before truly joining the ranks of the shamans.

Supposedly the majority of those, who attempt to take the trials, were lost in vain. He kidnapped his younger brother and attempted to bring him into safety but one day after, they were caught by the Dustcrawlers' hunters.

Rrak was brought back to the village while Qirr was not only stripped of his rights but also exile from the Cal by his father Gnaras for having defied Zarach's will.

Exile in Nortander[]

After having been exiled, Qirr's life first had been extremely harsh and dangerous because a lone orc was often met with prejudices. Because of his experience in combat and diplomacy though he was able to make it through Nortander relatively unharmed and reached Everlight. Within the city he then settled in and made a living as an architect.

Investigating the missing orcs[]

When Qirr lived in Everlight he heard of orcs going missing from the streets. Lots of known faces strangely disappeared with no traces being found. The guards of Everlight would not investigate that matter and thus Qirr took the matter in his own hands. He talked to many contacts in the city but seemingly he had come closer to the truth because one day, he was captured by some thugs and was contained in a cage in a camp on the southern beach.

Luckily he then was saved by the Corporal, who had come across the way and who would help the orc in reobtaining the proofs, Qirr had already gathered. He had found out that those missing orcs had not just been killed, but were slaughtered by a criminal syndicate. They used the orc meat to sell it as precious wyvern meat, a delicacy among the nobles of Everlight.

Well, it is ... a bit disturbing. Shortly put, there is a gang of human criminals who capture and butcher orcs and sell their meat as wyvern meat. It looks almost the same, so nobody can tell. I managed to intercept correspondence between one of their thugs and the leader. It should be enough to convince the guards of their presence... however the thugs took all of my belongings when they ambushed me.

Since Qirr had been beaten up and was in no condition to fight, Corporal Tahar and his group went after the bandits. They could be found at the godstone in front of the Glittering Mines. After having obtained the proofs again, the Corporal's companions supposed to interrogate one of the survivors. He would tell them the exact whereabouts of their base and their leader, the Butcher.

Returning to Qirr[]

After having returned to Qirr the Corporal could either hand him over the proofs and finish the quest or he could tell him of the additional clues, that he had obtained from the bandit. If having chosen the latter, Qirr and the group met in the city before then going towards the so-called Slaughterhouse. Upon telling the bandits the code "I am here for the produce", they let them inside and the group was able to confront the Butcher within the caves below.

Putting an end to the massacre[]

The Butcher turned out to be an orc as well, who orchestrated the entire massacre to take revenge to all orcs, because his father had been killed for having refused a chieftain's order. He and his sister were banished for being a traitor's child and while he was able to survive, his sister did not make it. The Butcher then promised to hunt down all orcs who honored the so-called Struggle to take revenge. He would not submit to Corporal Tahar and Qirr and thus was attacking and killed in the resulting combat.

"My kind?" The kind that killed my father just because he refused to take part in slaughtering the neighboring clan for the Struggle's sake? The king that banished a little orcish boy and his sister without as much as one day's worth of provisions. Fuck my kind!"

After the Butcher was defeated, Qirr would thank the Corporal for having helped him avenging the butchered orcs. He would offer his services and could be recruited as an ally for the orcish army base in Mulandir.
