The Uru was a wise woman of the Kathai people in SpellForce: Shadow of the Phoenix. She was known as one of the most knowledgeable persons regarding the plans of the Black Jungle and the Bone Temple inside.
Thus the Masked One sent his undead armies to Kathai in order ot obliterate Kathai and to kill the Uru. However the rune warrior was able to fight back the undead and to save her and her people.
When the rune warrior went to the Clockwork Crypts, the Uru was able to send her spirit to him with magic and guided him through the old fortress of the Zerbites. She was revealed to know alot about the Zerbites, their history and their secrets.

Uru does not seem to be a name but more of a title. In dialogue she revealed that she would neither be the first nor the last Uru of the Kathai and that her life already lasted for generations. She talked about the first Khals of the Kathai as if she knew them personally. The life and the history of the Uru remains a mystery but perhaps she is more than just a simple woman.
