The Wolflings are a powerful tribe of humanoid wolf fighters of powerful fighting power. Their claws are extremely dangerous since they were often supposed to contain dark magic curses. Just like the Kithar the Wolflings were strong in numbers but with a lacking intellect.

Origins[]

The wolf people are descended from the smaller wolflings that can be found in the mountains and caverns all over Eo. From them the dark elves bred the species of the Lucien, stronger and more eager for knowledge than the primitive wolflings.

But the Norcaine could not tame the savagery of these creatures, and now the Lucien roam the country in wild hordes. From there on the countries of Urgath and even the icy Grimwarg Mountains were not safe from from these savage beasts.

They even made it to the far continent of Xu, where they Wolflings were joining the ranks of powerful leaders such as Surt of the Blazing Stones.

Curse of the Beast[]

During the Aryn Crisis the Shadow Warrior came across a human village at the Nevershade Frontier. A strange curse had occurred that would turn the villagers into wolflings during nighttime. This was caused by the village's smith Keram, who had tainted three shrines at said island. The curse caused by the defilement caused the transformation during nighttime but was dispelled through the Shadow Warrior's actions.

Whether the entire race of the wolflings originated from a similar curse or whether they were created by the gods or even the renegade god Zarach, remains unclear. Their bloodthirstyness was equal to the savage Kithar and thus prevented gathering additional information.

SpellForce: The Breath of Winter[]

During his visit at Fastholme the wolflings were first hiding in their caves because of the undead roaming the area due to Gorg's revival. After the undead camps were obliterated and Gorg had been killed one more time, the wolflings reappeared and ambushed the future Shadow Warrior and Windjalf on the way back to the city.

In Frostfall there were smaller packs of wolflings trying to feast on the refugees led from Mirraw Thur after the Crimson Empire had invaded their homeland. Supported by the Winterguard the Wolflings were repelled and the refugees were able to made it to Tirganach safely.

But even in Tirganach the Wolflings were able to survive. South of the city a huge tribe of them had their home and was blocking the path to the Nevershade Frontier when the rune warrior attempted to get there.

In the Abyss two large tribes of an ice wolfings had settled down in the mountaineous areas. They were servants of the Fial Darg and their two leaders, Ahrr and Grorr, were used in maintaining the deadly Soulfire barriers. Only after having killed the Fial Darg's servants, the barriers vanished and the Shadow Warrior was able to conquer the Abyss to rescue Cenwen.

Utrur2nd Wolflings

Surt's loyal wolfling fighters as seen at the Blazing Stones

At the Blazing Stones in southern Xu the rune warrior was tasked by Argamun to purge the curses created by the giant Utrur. His brother Surt once had betrayed him and thus was chained to eternal life as an undead giant.

His servants were also doomed and forced to live eternally on the wastelands - unable to die but with their innate hunger for flesh, this truly was a nightmare. When the rune warrior opened the gate to their territory a huge fight broke out but the wolflings were defeated and exterminated in the process along with their leader Surt.
